Volvo Ocean Race Stop-Over in Lorient

It was no coincidence that we have done holidays in Brittany and have been in Lorient from June, 28th to 30th...
The reason was the Stop-Over of the Volvo Ocean Race (VOR) and a big sailing fan.
Here is a SELECTION of the sailing pictures (originally we had more than 1000 thanks to Frédéric ;)

First sight of the boats:

In-Port Race:

fortunately we were on this three-mast boat to see the In-Port race - much closer :)

the pirate with the unpronounceable name - I really shouldn't have booked the tickets on my last name...

In the end it turned out that the french team was even the overall winner of the VOR.
Nevertheless, i was still sharing for the red CAAAAAAMPER! boat...
